Ego Expo Artist Lakshane’s newest single, ‘Risk It All’, is released this Friday.

Lakshane has been with Ego since we first started in 2018, he performed live in 2019, and it was not a performance we will likely forget any time soon.

Born on the island of Sri Lanka, Lakshane is a Melbourne-based recording artist establishing himself as one of the city's most promising R&B talents.

He was first introduced to music during middle school in Colombo and had since actively created an innovative catalogue of musical story-telling with new wave percussion.

Lakshane maintains a diverse fanbase in both Australia and Sri Lanka.

Having already topped the charts within his homeland (Sri Lanka), Lakshane hopes to have a similar impact in Australia.

With sold-out shows, radio and press support in both countries, this Melbourne-based Alt R&B artist gears up to release his newest single, ‘Risk It All’.

This new single follows the success of his sold-out show at The Workers Club opening for Western Sydney’s Youngn Lipz.

Lakshane's last hit single ‘Selfish’ saw him as a featured cover on Spotify’s ‘SadBoi hours’ playlist and a world premiere on the BBC Asian Network (UK).

In a 2019 collaboration, Lakshane worked with Sinhala Rap heavyweight Costa on ‘Driveway’, which hit number 1 on Apple Music and iTunes in Sri Lanka.

Most recently, his 2021 drop ‘Ariana’ was placed in Spotify ANZ’s cover for the ‘New Music Friday’ playlist and has now accumulated over half a million online views and streams.

His new single ‘Risk It All’ is about being caught between a relationship and a unique affair.

Produced by Australian heavyweight Gxnxvs, the song draws on inspiration from early 2000s Justin Timberlake and Timbaland with a modern delivery (It’s that touch nostalgic that we just love!)

‘Risk It All’ is set to have radio play with K-Sera on CADA 96.1, Triana Butler on Joy FM and various stations in Sri Lanka.

The single is also to be backed by a cinematic music video that we can't wait for you all to see but enjoy this little sneak peek trailer and gear up for the release this Friday!
